Philemon 2005-2011
Ross and I are still shocked that our poor kitty isn't with us anymore. We were in Colorado, visiting my parents, when we received the call from Ross's sister that Phil was unconscious on the kitchen floor. She rushed him to the vet, but it was too late- his little heart had just given out. The vet said there was no way of knowing he had a heart defect, and no way to help him. I'm just sad we missed saying good-bye- although we were able to have a lovely little service for him as we burried him in the yard of our good friend and fellow cat-lover, Kathy Johnston.
So many good memories of our friend- so loving (to us anyway- he really hated strangers!), so playful, so funny. He loved to growl like a lion when he wanted to play, loved to squeeze under the coffee table, loved to climb, loved to cuddle, and had the cutest purr- It was really more like a whirr! You will be very missed for a long time to come, Phil!

Ooooh, I'm sorry. Poor kitty. It's hard to lose a pet, but he knows you love him.
thank you Jane!
